A note on the edition I purchased - it is the reprint of the original edition by Spring Books and comes in a /5(17). Blackwood is more of a spiritualistic even perhaps animistic writer, and his works are not dark like Lovecraft's, but still very much worth reading. He tends to focus more on discovery and understanding, and less on conflict and fear.
Good book/5(2). This is probably worth a look, but Baldick's Oxford Book of Gothic Tales, in which Tales from Blackwood. book draws on a wider range of materials than Blackwood's, and beyond the late eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, is /5.
